Pancakes with syrup and a side of bacon…a classic breakfast combination! Why confine these phenomenal flavors to the breakfast table when you can swirl them together in a creamy ice cream? Makes about a quart.
|1 cup whole milk||1/3 cup granulated sugar|
|1 1/2 cups heavy cream||1/2 cup maple syrup|
|1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract||1 8-oz. package of bacon, cooked until very crispy and chopped|
|Pinch of salt||1 cup diced cooked pancake|
Read the directions for your machine prior to making this recipe. For example, some ice cream makers may suggest that the bacon and pancake pieces included in this recipe be added during the middle of the preparation process, once the ice cream texture has started to form. This step allows the ice cream’s base to start to solidify prior to stirring in additional ingredients.
