If the latest Breaking Dawn -- Part 1 trailer is any proof, emotions are running high in the penultimate installment of The Twilight Saga. Turns out that the same is the case off screen as well.
Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black, the wolfish third of the saga's human-vampire-werewolf love triangle, has been touting for a while that Breaking Dawn is going to make fans cry when they see it in theaters. How does the 19-year-old heartthrob know? Because he's already seen an early cut of the film -- and he cried!
"Oh yes! Yeah, of course," Lautner admitted when PopSugar asked his personal waterworks got flowing while viewing of Breaking Dawn -- Part 1. "It's an emotional one."
Watching the finale of Stephenie Meyer's epic story unfold on screen is obviously a different experience for Lautner than for fans, considering that he's starred in the films. But Lautner says he was able to relate to the experience Twihards will have when they see it.
"You see the same characters we've grown to know and love in a completely different light than you've seen them before," Lautner tells PopSugar. "I mean, it's still part of the same franchise, but I mean it's a completely different movie -- and I think that's going to be exciting for fans to see."
Still, it was the filming process that got to Lautner more than seeing the movie. He tells PopSugar that the moment on set when he realized that The Twilight Saga was finally over for him occurred on the second-to-last day of shooting.
"That was my final scene with Kristen (Stewart) and Rob (Pattinson)," he says. "It was an emotional scene we were filming, so that really didn't help, but it was tough and it's a very weird feeling to be done filming."
Fans will find out whether Breaking Dawn -- Part 1 makes them cry on Nov. 18, but they can catch Lautner in theaters before then: His action-thriller Abduction opens Sept. 23.
