If Lindsay Lohan is “an addict” (according to the judge presiding over her case), so is Gossip Girl’s Taylor Momsen. But it’s not drugs she’s addicted to, but attention. The 17-year-old star of the hit CW show was performing at a Paper magazine party at New York City club Don Hill's on Thursday with her band The Pretty Reckless when she flashed the crowd.
Dressed in all black and wearing enough eye makeup to get her mistaken for a raccoon, the teen rocker pulled down her barely-there top to reveal a pair of pasties (see HollywoodLife.com's censored video below).
The worst part isn’t that she did it, but that she’s too young to even know that this sad attempt at shock and awe has been done, and many times: Lil' Kim exposed a breast at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2002, Nicole Richie lifted her top while walking in a runway show in 2005, Paris Hilton showed it all in a sex tape. If you really want to shock us, be a teenager who actually keeps her clothes on.
But shocking is de rigeur for the actress, who's dished about masturbation and watching sex tapes and who has been called "pathetic" for her diva antics on the Gossip Girl set by style guru and guest star Tim Gunn.
The name of her band speaks volumes for Taylor Momsen's behavior, but shocking for shock's sake won't give her the kind of longevity in show business she might hope to have.
