Here's the latest scoop: Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen has been given the honor of teaming up with ultimate icon Madonna to be the model for the singer and her daughter Lourdes Leon's juniors clothing line.
The new ads for Madonna's Material Girl line debuted this week, showing Momsen decked out in some traditional rocker-girl garb -- a look the starlet was already known for.
According to InStyle.com, the mother-daughter fashion line will feature a mix of "fierce and feminine elements, like studded leather and floral prints," sold exclusively at Macy's.
At just 16, Momsen has earned the rep as being a young rebel. In February she was criticized for being a bad role model for kids by an anti-smoking group, after photographers snapped her with a cigarette -- an incident she did not take kindly to.
"To be honest, I don't f--king care," she told the UK Times. "I didn't get into this to be a role model. So I'm sorry if I'm influencing your kids in a way that you don't like, but I can't be responsible for their actions. I don't care."
Sounds a lot like a young Madonna, right?
