Did Taylor Swift enjoy some romantic fireworks this Fourth of July?
The 22-year-old "Mean" singer was photographed spending Independence Day in Massachusetts alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger's 18-year-old son Patrick. TMZ reports that the two of them were seen laughing and taking a private stroll along the beach, while hanging out with a group that included several Kennedy family members (Schwarzenegger's mother Maria Shriver is the daughter of a Kennedy).
While TMZ describes the Swift-Schwarzenegger hangout session as "romantic," we have our doubts that things are anything but platonic.
First off, we already know that Swift is one of the friendliest people around Tinseltown. She's best friends with everyone from Emma Stone to Justin Bieber, so we wouldn't put it past her to just be close buds with the son of the California's former governor. After all, there's nothing that TMZ has seen that overtly says the two of them are an item. Who hasn't taken a private walk with one of their friends?
The second thing that makes us skeptical is the fact that Patrick is four years younger than she is. Taylor, we love you, but you've got a thing for older men. Swift's most famous romantic hookups have been with Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal and John Mayer, all three of which range from four months to 14 years older than she is. Patrick may be cute, but we have a feeling that this is just a budding friendship.
