After a stellar 12 months that included taking home a pile of CMA Awards, dominating the American Music Awards, racking up eight Grammy nominations, and having the best-selling CD of the year, it makes perfect sense that Taylor Swift is ending 2009 on the cover of People magazine, named one of their most intriguing people of the year.
"It feels like this ongoing dream," the 20-year-old singer tells the weekly, describing her life in one simple word: "happy."
"You can stay the same person, even if everything around you changes," Swift says of her rise to fame. "I would like to think everybody out there isn't just waiting for me to trip and fall and stumble out of a club drunk." She adds, "People know I'm not a party girl."
Joining the magazine's list of most intriguing people of the year are Hollywood supercouple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, President Barack and Michelle Obama, Golden Globe nominee Sandra Bullock, How I Met Your Mother's Neil Patrick Harris, and Rihanna, just to name a few.
