What do pop-country princess Taylor Swift and Academy Award-winner Reese Witherspoon have in common? If you said they both dated Jake Gyllenaal, you're correct.
The two lovely ladies were recently spotted having lunch together in Los Angeles, where, a source tells Us Weekly, they bonded over their common ex-boyfriend. The dishy meal took place on Aug. 26 at L.A.'s tony Boa's Steakhouse, where the two were overheard trading stories about the man they have in common.
"They talked about how vain and self-aborbed Jake can be," a source tells Us. "They laughed about it."
Witherspoon, 35, dated Gyllenhaal, 30, for nearly two years (2007-2009), on the heels of her divorce from actor Ryan Phillippe. Swift, 21, on the other hand, was only linked to the hunky actor for two months in fall 2010. Shortly after she and Gyllenhaal called it quits in late 2009, Witherspoon began dating entertainment agent Jim Toth, who she married in March.
If you're wondering how the blond beauties first got friendly -- they chatted it up at the Academy of Country Music Awards in April. Reportedly the lunch had been in the works since that night. And unlike their doomed relationships with Gyllenhaal, this girl crush has legs: Swift reportedly invited Witherspoon and her family to attend one of her upcoming concerts. And, after lunch, Witherspoon drove Swift home.
