WATCH: Taylor Swift Gets Embarrassed Talking About Ex-Boyfriends

When Ellen DeGeneres asks the singer who her breakup song is about, she looks super uncomfortable

Just who is Taylor Swift singing about on her new album Red? It's the question everyone has been trying to answer following the release of the record earlier this week, with some putting in more effort than others.

Swift has made it clear that she's not going to reveal who her songs are about to some, that didn't stop Ellen DeGeneres from asking!  When the country sweetheart visited her show, the funny lady asked her to play a little game: She would put photos of Taylor with her ex-boyfriends up on the screen and then Taylor would ring a bell when someone came up whom she had written a song about.

"I don't know if I'm going to do this," Swift tells DeGeneres. "This is the one thing that I have, the one shred of dignity that I have... People go and make guesses about it, but the one thing that I have is that one card."

DeGeneres pushes ahead with the game anyway, though Swift refuses to ring the bell. When a photo of Swift and Justin Timberlake pops up, she says, "We didn't date." Next comes a photo of her with Ashton Kutcher: "We didn't date either." But when pic of her with Glee star Cory Monteith appears, there's an uncomfortable silence from the singer -- which causes Ellen to ring the bell herself.

"What are you doing to me?" Swift asks. "Stop it, stop it, stop!"

She looked so embarrassed by the game, that we started to feel a little bad for Taylor. But there were some funny moments that came out of it -- like when an image of her and Danny DeVito flashed up on the screen and Swift dead-panned, "You know I can't talk about that."

Perhaps Swift was feeling especially sensitive about her love life because reports have just surfaced that she split from her latest beau, Conor Kennedy. Whatever the case, it was clear that the singer isn't too confident about her ever-evolving relationship status.

"I feel so bad about myself. Every time I come up here you put like a different dude up there on the screen and it just makes me really question what I stand for as a human being," Swift says. "There's never been two guys on the screen two visits in a row. It's sad."
