At 22 years old, Taylor Swift has a career's worth of accomplishments under her belt. In addition to her six Grammys, seven CMA awards, two feature films and three multi-platinum albums, she can now brag about being the richest entertainer under 30.
According to Forbes's 2012 list of the top-earning young talents, Swift earned approximately $57 million in the past 12 months. This includes profits from her album sales, her product endorsements (like CoverGirl makeup), and her concerts (which bring in around $1 million dollars per night). As we've discussed before, Swift also gets more money from her album sales than most other artists, because she writes every song herself without a collaborator. She also gets more radio promotion than other singers, because she's played on both mainstream and country radio stations.
Not surprisingly, 18-year-old Justin Bieber has the #2 spot on the Forbes list, thanks largely to album sales, concerts and endorsements. In third place is Rihanna, 24. Despite her recent financial troubles, the "Where Have You Been" singer earned around $53 million last year, which includes millions of dollars from her signature fragrance Reb'l Fleur.
Lady Gaga, who was #1 on last year's list, has dropped to #4. But considering that the 26-year-old diva hasn't toured much in the past 12 months, that's not too shabby. Then there's Katy Perry in fifth place. Unlike Gaga, Perry has been a touring machine, raking in almost $60 million for her California Dreams tour.
Rounding out the Top 10 Richest Entertainers Under 30 are Adele, 24, Kristen Stewart, 22, Lil Wayne, 29, Taylor Lautner, 20, and Robert Pattinson, 26. Clearly, if Taylor Swift had been in the Twilight movies, she'd be unstoppable!
