Last week on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, viewers watched Teresa Giudice go ballistic when Danielle Staub shouted that her home was in foreclosure. Although Teresa and her husband Joe filed for bankruptcy in June -- and the media reported an impressive list of debts totaling $11 million -- Teresa insists she's not in debt. In this clip from next week's episode of the Bravo reality series, Teresa explains why her home is not in foreclosure, and Joe has a little bit of fun with the rumor.
"Danielle is telling everyone my house is under foreclosure and it's not," Teresa says. "I own a lot of properties in my name -- some good investments and some bad investments. The economy is bad." That's a pretty cagey answer, considering the bank has indeed moved to foreclose on the mansion in question, as well as seizing two of the Giudices' other houses. Where's that "good investment" of which you speak, Teresa?
Maybe it's Joe's new pizza parlor-slash-apartment complex, which the couple is seen touring in the clip. As Joe proudly shows his wife around, he jokes that he's "gonna show you your suite, for when we get kicked out of our house." Leading her into one of the apartments he's renting, he points out their "future mailbox" and bedroom. Teresa seems horrified at the very idea of apartment living ("Joe is totally kidding... that's never going to happen"), but it's nice to see one member of the family face reality -- if only for the sake of a laugh.
