The actress, one of the original titular residents of Wisteria Lane, says the ending is finally sinking in now that it's just a couple weeks away.
"Every day it gets to be a little more real," Hatcher, 47, told People at the Wisteria Lane Block Party benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at Universal Studios in L.A.
"We've had a lot of time to process it, so it's not a shock. But I think you just can't really know what it's going to feel like until it's over."
Hatcher reveals that her character, Suan Meyer, is done right by the series finale, so fans will feel like their favorite Housewives were provided with a sense of closure.
"I feel like [the finale] does a pretty good job at honoring all the different characters and their sort of unique wheelhouses that they brought ... to Desperate Housewives," she explains.
"Whether it be comedy or drama or physical comedy, I feel like the stories make sense. I think it will be better than some other big finales."
To find out what happens to the Desperate Housewives, tune in to ABC on May 13th for the two-hour series finale at 9 p.m. ET.
