A Thank-You Note to Our Military Wives

On Memorial Day and throughout the year, our thoughts and prayers are with the military and its families. To show our support, iVillage Love & Sex community members were asked to pull together and post this collection of quotes to thank our military wives in particular. If it inspires you to thank these brave women yourself, please do so on our Military Wives message board.

I'm not from the U.S., but I appreciate everything the men and women serving throughout the world are doing for us. I think I feel more in awe of those left behind for the courage it takes to be the partner of a military man because they are the steadfast rocks on which the soldiers build their hopes of returning safe and well. We are all, wherever we come from, forever in their debt.

I have many friends who have loved ones in Iraq right now, and I'm so thankful for them. I support the men and women who feel so strongly about the cause that they would die for us.

I know we don't say thank you often enough to our men and women overseas. Even more than that, we forget those left behind to take care of the families. My thoughts are with all of you. Thank you for everything you do.

I've always admired those brave men and women in the armed forces. Their courage is beyond description. We owe our freedom to our veterans and to the current-day troops, whose bravery, loyalty, dedication and sacrifice are greatly appreciated. To their families I'd like to say thank you for having the courage to let your young men and women fight for our country. I will continue to keep all of you in my prayers.

I just want to post my gratitude to all the members of the armed forces who are serving in harm's way. You are a blessing to us all, and I for one appreciate your sacrifice. To the families left behind, my prayers and positive thoughts are with you all.

The men and women of our armed forces deserve so much more thanks than I could ever give to them. If it weren't for these men and woman, America would not be where it is today. The families of these brave men and women deserve more thanks than I could ever give them, as well. They are also heroes!
