Three or five day program?
My 3 year old son will be starting preschool in September. The preschool gives you a choice to send your child either 3 or 5 days a week. No matter which one you choose the children will be in the same class. Which is better for adjustment purposes? What are the advantages and disadvantages for each?
My son will be turning 3 10 days after school starts. The kids will be ages from 2.9-3.2, and the hours are 8:30-12:00. His sisters go to the same school for elementary school.Question:
It sounds as if three days a week would be just perfect for your son. (In New York City, nursery school programs for children this age are EITHER two days or three days a week - rarely five.) It is good for your son to socialize with other children, but it is also very good for him to have a few days with you, as well.
