After checking the box on the back of your driver's license, the next time you will probably think about organ donation will be in a moment of crisis. Three Rivers tells the story of a dedicated group of surgeons dealing with this highly charged and difficult issue. Alex O'Loughlin (Moonlighting) is Dr. Andy Yablonski, the workaholic lead surgeon who barely ever leaves the hospital. He is joined by Katherine Moenning (The L Word) as the fiery Dr. Miranda Foster trying to live up to her father's reputation since his name is on the hospital, and Daniel Henney as the resident serial dater Dr. David Lee. Rounding out the cast is veteran actress Alfre Woodard as the internationally trained chief of surgery (who joined the show after Julia Ormond was replaced post-pilot). The drama follows the donors and the recipients and illuminates the life and death decisions that this area of medicine deals with each and every day.
