The Story of Three Women, Three Wishes and Eight Magical Vials of Sperm

The surprising results when three friends decided to take motherhood into their own hands

Little, Brown

Three Wishes is the story of three friends and the seemingly magical eight vials of sperm that made their dreams of motherhood later in life come true -- but not in the way you'd expect.

"There's one thing to wish for certain things in your life and there's another thing to act, and so I think the sperm, for all of us, gave us the ability to act and let things play out as they could," says Pamela Ferdinand, who co-authored the book with Beth Jones and Carey Goldberg.

The three friends recently sat down with iVillage to talk about the book and the challenges they face as older moms.
