T.I. Reports to Prison
T.I. has it all locked up.
The rapper reported to a federal prison in Arkansas on Tuesday, after giving a farewell concert in his hometown of Atlanta.
"See y'all in 366 days," he told the crowd.
The rapper, who was arrested in 2007 (right before the B.E.T. awards) and charged with possession of three unregistered machine guns, two silencers, and possession of firearms by a convicted felon, was sentenced to one year and one day in jail.
But he won't really be eating bread and water for that long. Court officials say that T.I. would be receiving credit for 305 days spent in home detention -- which means he might only be in the clink for like two months. He also paid a $100,000 fine and will remain on supervised release for three years after he gets out.
It's really like a quick little vacay.
