Tim Tebow: I Want a Girl With a "Servant's Heart"

The hunky quarterback is getting heat for the phrase he used in Vogue, but the Evangelical Christian merely meant he wants a girl who wants to help others

Tim Tebow could have his pick of celebrity girlfriends, but he's holding out for someone special. The former Denver Broncos quarterback, who is starting his first season with the New York Jets, tells Vogue that he's very picky when it comes to dating.

"I’ve been blessed to have an amazing mom and two amazing sisters -- so they set a very high standard," says Tebow, 25.

So what does the NFL star look for in a woman? "Obviously looks play a big part," he acknowledges. "But," he adds, "there’s also so much more than that for me."

"It’s about finding someone sweet and kind -- and that has a servant's heart," says Tebow. "It’s about finding a girl who likes me for me, and not because of what I do or who I am or the name."

The athlete is getting some criticism for the phrase "servant's heart," but he didn't mean that he's looking for a woman to serve him. In Evangelical Christian parlance, someone with a servant's heart is someone who wants to help others, as Jesus did. And Tebow has the same aspiration for himself.

"There are a lot of goals and ambitions that I have in life, things I want to accomplish," says Tebow, whose Tim Tebow Foundation helps children in need. "Who knows? I mean -- it could be politics one day. I want to have a life that can help people."

He also "definitely, definitely" wants a family. And while he's looking for the right girl, he's managed to impress a whole lot of A-list single ladies -- including Taylor Swift (whom he had dinner with in March), Katy Perry (who revealed her Tebow crush earlier this year) and model Karlie Kloss. Kloss, who met Tebow at the Met Costume Institute Gala this year, said she went out of her way to introduce herself.

"He was sweet and really nice and totally unfazed by it all," she gushes to Vogue. "He’s got a good sense of style, too."

He's also got a great body, which he shows off in a shirtless photo by Annie Leibowitz. Who says fashion and football don't mix?
