Conventional wisdom suggests your chances of travel success increase if you plan your trip around your child's sleep schedule. Here's the trick: Know your kid. Is she a no-fail sleeper? Or, will the looming Sandman make him irritable and over-wrought? What ever your situation, aim for well-timed travel: Either leave the house an hour before naptime or after your child is completely rested and avoid the times in the middle.
