Former Republican House Majority Leader Tom DeLay is expected to bow out of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday because of stress fractures in both of his feet.
Ignoring doctors' and producers' orders, DeLay performed on Monday with dance partner Cheryl Burke. DeLay can blame his injuries for his poor score of 15 points, putting him next-to-last, ahead of ex-NFL wide receiver Michael Irvin.
"They’re starting to tell me I shouldn’t have done this," DeLay said regarding his feet. "I ice them. I’ve got a bone stimulator machine that I put on them."
I respect DeLay for competing while injured, but if he had a better performance on Latin Night, how much do you want to bet he wouldn’t be quitting today?
DeLay joins a long list of contestants who have been struck by injury, leaving some to wonder if there’s a DWTS curse.
Just this season alone, Mya, Kathy Ireland and Debi Mazar have all been injured since they were announced as contestants of the dance show.
With DeLay out, who is your favorite to win this season of Dancing With The Stars? Chime in below!
