Too many wet diapers?

You said that a baby should be having having five to six good, wet diapers each day and regular substantial bowel movements. My son regularly has at least 11 to 15 wet diapers every day. Is this too much?

If your baby is healthy and growing well I would not be at all concerned about more wet diapers than the average. I would assume by the large amount of diapers your baby is wetting that you have a great milk supply and he is growing wonderfully on your milk.

I don't know if this applies to you, but exclusively breastfed babies do not need supplemental water, even in hot climates. Some babies may be wetting a large amount of diapers because they are receiving this unnecessary supplementation. Best wishes!
