10. The "Mommy Wars"


When Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen charged that Ann Romney couldn’t really advise her husband on women’s issues because she “never worked a day in her life,” she unwillingly tossed a match onto the “mommy wars” powder keg – that on-going tension between stay-at-home moms and women who work outside the home. The issue struck such a chord with so many women because it tapped into our own insecurities about the choices we make or have to make – and whether we’re doing the right thing for ourselves and for our families.
