Tori Spelling will soon be joining the ranks of celebrities like Madonna, Jerry Seinfeld, Billy Crystal, Katie Couric and John Lithgow as another famous face turned children's book author. As EW.com reports, Spelling -- who already has two autobiographical best-sellers on her post-90210 resume (sTORI Telling and Mommywood) -- will release her debut children's book, titled Presenting...Talluah. The 36-year-old's new story for kids is about "a spunky little girl who is constantly told what not to do: not to wear jeans, not to get dirty."
The illustrated book, to be published by Simon & Schuster, is slated to go on sale Sep. 21, just a few weeks after her third book for adult readers, uncharted terriTORI, is due in book stores. Spelling, who reportedly chose the title because she simply liked the name Tallulah, said in a statement that it was her two kids who inspired her to dabble in children's literature. 'I love reading to my kids. It's our special time together. That and my passion for story telling inspired me to write a children's book of my own to read to them and children everywhere," said Spelling.
Spelling has two young children, 1-year-old Stella and 2-year-old Liam, with her second husband, actor Dean McDermott, 43, and all four star on their Oxygen reality show Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood (currently in its fourth season.)
