At a gathering on Tuesday to celebrate the launch of her new party-planning book, celebraTORI, at NYC's Make Meaning, Tori Spelling admitted that her fourth pregnancy with husband Dean McDermott wasn't exactly planned.
"All my friends keep asking me that: 'Was it planned?' Seriously, Hattie was one-month-old. Do you think it was planned? I was up all night with feedings. I don't know how he got that...to make this."
When asked about whether she followed the classic advice from obstetricians that new moms should avoid sex for six weeks after delivery, she said: "You're going to have to talk to Dean about this because we got out of the hospital and I said, 'Specifically, the doctor said to wait six weeks.'"
She continued: "I didn't want him to think that the sex was going downhill. So here you go. Here's four."
Earlier in the day on an appearance on Today, Spelling admitted that she can now "dispel the old wives' tale that you can't get pregnant while you're breastfeeding."
Due in September, Spelling said Liam and Stella were "over the moon" with the arrival of baby sister Hattie, but Stella now has a special request for the newest addition to the Spelling-McDermott clan: "I hope it's a boy, for Liam."
The star of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood said her book details the ins and outs of some of her most fabulous fetes, from her '80s prom-themed 30th birthday bash to Liam's red-and-blue superhero-themed fiesta -- and "the train-wreck parties as well."
