Trick or Treat for UNICEF

Teaching our children to give of themselves to make the world a better place is important to most parents. What better time to encourage kids to share than Halloween, a holiday that is usually all about getting as much candy as you can?

UNICEF: A Classic Cause
Since 1950, children have been going door-to-door with canisters, asking for donations to help children overseas for UNICEF. The United Nations Children’s Fund is a charitable organization that saves children's lives aroudn the world.

"The Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign is one of the greatest examples of how young people in the United States are aware and supportive of the needs of children worldwide," said Charles J. Lyons, president of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF. "It's a more than 50-year tradition of volunteerism that Americans can be proud of. They have helped make a tremendous difference in the world."

Order a box online to take along as you make the neighborhood rounds or call 1-800-252-KIDS or by writing the U.S. Fund for UNICEF at 333 East 38th Street, New York, NY 10016.
