Trying to Conceive: Implantation Bleeding?
I purchased an ovulation predictor kit and tested positive for my peak time to get pregnant. Five days after this I noticed a brownish discharge. Could this be implantation bleeding?

Five days post ovulation would be just about right for implantation. Of course, there are other things that can cause such a discharge, but in view of the fact that you are trying to get pregnant, this seems like a good explanation.
Sometimes after intercourse, women spot such a small amount that the blood is old and brown by the time it reaches the outside. Also, hormone levels occasionally fluctuate just enough to release a bit of lining.
But I'm sure you'd prefer the first explanation and that is a strong possibility.
