Tutus & Bow Ties

The Theme: Tutus & Bow Ties Party

The Stylist: Holly McKenzie of HollyDays

The Look: The party was a vintage theme with sweet childlike details.

1. “Think paint! The furniture piece from this party was an old piece of furniture I found sitting outside a furniture refinishing shop. When I asked them if they were trying to sell it, they gave it to me! With just a couple coats of paint I had left over from another project, the piece was perfect for the food table! I added a couple different vintage knobs I had and the piece was perfect.”
2. “Wrap bow ties on mason jars and use to serve drinks. I hot glued ripped fabric bows to the front of each jar.”
3. “Each little guest was given a bow tie or a tutu. The tutus were made by a friend with tulle and elastic. We even made the girls cute rosette hairclips to pin in their hair for an extra cute touch.”
4. “Ice cream was served in small canning jars. Instead of having to scoop ice cream at the party, it was scooped prior to the party and set in ice so the kids could easily pick them up quickly.”
