'Glee' Named 'Future Classic' at the TV Land Awards

The TV Land Awards are always a fun affair, seeing the casts of favorite TV classics reunite to receive, say, a Fan Favorite Award. Who doesn’t love a little nostalgia? Hey, it's Gopher and Julie from 'The Love Boat'! Speaking of Love Boat, it was disheartening to hear that 79-year-old Gavin MacLeod (Captain Stubing) was too sick to attend that gala -- but let's concentrate on some of the happier highlights from the show:

The clearly thrilled cast of Fox's Glee received the "Future Classic Award," despite not having finished their first season yet. Jane Lynch was still thrilled to win: “I was just thinking that if they have a 30-year anniversary thing, I’ll probably be dead,” she said. “I hope you have fun and that you say, ‘I miss Jane.’”

When the cast of Bosom Buddies reunited at the podium to celebrate their 30th anniversary, Tom Hanks quipped, “Tom Selleck and Magnum PI still suck compared to Bosom Buddies. ABC at 8 p.m.!”

Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner were presented with Legend Award trophies, and the 83-year-old Brooks joked to Reiner, “What do you think we can get on eBay for one of these things?”

Pamela Anderson was the perfect presenter to honor Charlie’s Angels with their Pop Culture Award. Does anyone else agree that the 62-year-old Jaclyn Smith is disturbingly young looking?

David Hasselhoff and Marilu Henner led a "Classic TV Glee Club" in a rousing rendition of "Don’t Stop Believin'" as a sort of spoofy sendup of Glee. It was fun zeroing in on all the “classic TV” faces  (check it out here) including: Shirley Jones, Marion Ross, Richard Karn, Fred Willard, Jamie Farr, Marla Gibbs, Marcia Wallace, Howard Hesseman, Richard Moll, Jimmy Walker, Todd Bridges, and Joyce Dewitt.
