TV Recap: Lipstick Jungle Season Finale

Too caught up in their own drama to reconcile, Wendy is busy getting a writer to finish a script on time so production for the movie can begin, and Nico is still caught up in her affair with Kirby. Victory puts her focus on work, and remains strictly professional with Joe. Even when Joe arranges a “business meeting” with her complete with champagne and hazelnut truffles flown in from Geneva, Vic holds her ground. Although her love life is lacking, the business seems to be picking up. Nico introduces Vic to a hockey superstar (Chris Parker) and his wife, and the two show interest in having her style them for their Bonfire shoot. The game night they hosted is followed by an after party of Victory and her new found friends.

On the other side of town, Nico has an after party of her own back at Kirby’s apartment. Charles is being incessantly annoying tonight, calling her off the hook. When she finally takes a breather to pick up, she races to get her clothes own and out of bed. Kirby is freaked out by her reaction from the call, when she explains, “My husband had a heart attack!”

The ladies all lend their support to Nico. It seems the Scotland ordeal has blown over for Wendy as well. The sketchy grad student Megan, drops by to the hospital with Charles’s work, and a note with “Miss you” written on it. Nico has reason to believe that Charles is cheating on her, judging by the note and how Megan was nearly in tears for her professor…

Despite this, Wendy and Victory tell Nico to look beyond the affair(s) and consider the future. She decides that she wants to save her marriage, and bids a tearful goodbye to Kirby. Is this the end of seeing topless Kirby around? Let’s hope not for the sake of some amazing eye candy in the future!

The Parkers seem to show more interest in Victory than in her clothing line. I had a funny feeling about this couple when they were first introduced… but a threesome?! A newly single Vic decides she is open to experiment (after a lot of champagne at least), and gets the night started. But when Parks “hogs” Victory, the couple break out into a fight and Vic takes the chance to escape the most awkward moment of life.

It took a failed threesome for Victory to realize that she missed Joe in her life, and hoping that she will not go down that road again, she calls Joe the next day. She apologizes and tells him she wants him back, and Joe seems to be beaming with happiness, until we see the woman sleeping next to/with him. Well that took a week! Looks like this relationship is going down the drain too…

So what did everyone think of the finale? A little lacking…boring maybe? Maybe the storyline would’ve been more interesting if Charles suffered a heart attack because he found out about Nico’s affair…which could be a possibility. Thoughts?
