If you're staying in tonight to hand out candy -- and lots of little princesses, superheroes and Lady Gagas hope that you will -- you might as well treat yourself to some Halloween-themed TV. Among the "spooky" offerings on television tonight, you can watch a cappella groups sing in a cemetery, see Katie Holmes dress up like a slutty pumpkin, or get up to speed on the new series, American Horror Story. Here are your scary selections:
How I Met Your Mother (8 p.m. ET, on CBS): Ted (Josh Radnor) is reunited with the Slutty Pumpkin (Holmes) he's been pining for since Halloween 2001.
Mike & Molly (9:30 p.m. ET, on CBS): The beloved duo (Billy Gardell and Melissa McCarthy) channel Frankenstein and his bride.
Hawaii Five-O (10 p.m. ET, on CBS): The crew investigates claims of restless spirits at an ancient burial ground.
The Sing-Off (8 p.m. ET, on NBC): Following a Halloween-themed opening number, the singing groups will perform on a set made to look like a cemetery. Dying to find out if Nick Lachey will rock yet another costume today? We'll have to tune in!
American Horror Story (10 p.m. ET, on FX): The network is rerunning the first four episodes of this creepy thriller about a family who moves into a haunted mansion.
Ghost Hunters Halloween Live (7 p.m. ET, on Syfy): A live, six-hour search for spirits at an abandoned asylum in Spring City, PA.
Teen Wolf marathon (9 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET, on MTV): That would be their new series, based on the movie -- sorry, Michael J. Fox fans.
Halloween (starting at 9:30 a.m. ET, on AMC): They're playing the 1978 classic film, followed by all of its successive versions -- the original will re-air at 8 p.m. ET.
