The second season of The X Factor kicked off filming with a closed audition in Austin, Tex., on Thursday. So reports about how the new judges, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, fared had to come through inside sources.

Several insights were shared -- but one particularly juicy tidbit came from TMZ. "BRITNEY SPEARS Walks Off 'X Factor'" screamed the headline of the story, which described the 30-year-old singer as "upset after a contestant butchered her song, 'Hold It Against Me.'"

But Spears claims she was enjoying herself, and she took to Twitter to defend herself. "Britneywalksoff??? LOL was just taking a little break people," she wrote. "I am having the BEST time!!!"

She may not having been storming off set in a rage, but another source told Us Weekly that Spears seemed "uptight" and that "her body language was reserved." 

Still, another witness described her as more of an encouraging cheerleader for contestants -- at least compared to her fellow female judge, 19-year-old Lovato. After one teen boy sang, the "Give Your Heart a Break" singer warned him that he'd better "find out what makes you special and what separates you from all the other teenage boys in this industry."

But Spears followed up with a much more optimistic view: "I think you can be bigger than the next Justin Bieber,” she said. "I feel like your runs are amazing." Though she admitted he needed some training, she also said, "I see what’s there, and you’re very gifted. Thank you."

Overall, Spears must have proven a capable judge, considering all those witnesses. If she'd had any real problems, there's no doubt we would have heard about it by now! 

Did you expect Spears to be a tough judge or an encouraging one?

It seems Kelly Clarkson is getting pretty serious about her boyfriend Brandon Blackstock -- and it turns out he's having a positive effect on her health, as well as her happiness. The American Idol alum (pictured left in January and right on May 15) has lost 20 pounds recently, and she credits it all to him.

"I would love to say that it had something to do with my work, but it doesn't," says the 30-year-old pop star, who flaunted her new figure on last night's premiere of her new singing show, Duets. "I have a boyfriend, and if I'm being completely honest, no one likes to be not toned when you are dating someone."

"I'm eating better and working out, but I've always fluctuated within 20 lbs.," she added during a conference call this week. "My whole life I've been like that."

Clarkson also says it helps that she and the Nashville-based talent manager, whom she's been dating since late 2011, share the same trainer. "I tone whenever I want, and I chose to now because my boyfriend and I are both really into it," she says. "But we don't work out together. We did that once and I didn't like huffing and puffing...I didn't like looking all red and gross, so I don't do that."

We have to admit that we're impressed by Clarkson's mindset going into her relationship -- especially since so many are inclined to head the other direction when they get comfortable with their partners!

But while she may not admit it, we're guessing Clarkson's professional life also has something to do with her weight loss. (After all, she is under a lot of pressure debuting a brand-new series!) Duets is currently filling the singing competition gap left between American Idol and The X Factor.

Like those shows that came before it, Duets is searching to find the next great singing sensation and will award the winner recognition and a recording contract with Hollywood Records. Considering that's how Clarkson was found back in the first season of American Idol, it's fitting that she's taken on a starring role in this show alongside Robin Thicke, John Legend and Jennifer Nettles.

"The simple fact that I get to go out and find two people I believe in, sing with them every week and help them accomplish their dream is an amazing thing I can't wait to be a part of," Clarkson tells People.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Clarkson admits that she signed on to Duets because it felt like more than just a reality competition to her.

"I have been approached before and I've said no, but this was different because ABC actually approached me at an awards show and sold it to me like an awards show," she says. "The best parts on an awards show is when different artists get to collaborate. Like when Tim McGraw and Nelly sang together, you're like 'What?!' But it works!"

Duets airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Getting a birthday gift from your spouse is always a treat -- and when you have four wives, the gift should be four times as awesome, right? Well, not exactly.

In this iVillage exclusive clip from the upcoming episode of Sister Wives, we see Kody Brown opening his birthday presents. But when he unwraps the joint gift from his wives -- Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn -- he's a bit disappointed.

After tearing off the wrapping paper on his brand-new Apple laptop, Kody flatly responds: "It's a tool. Cool, it's a computer."

And wife Christine is not impressed. "That wasn't quite the reaction we were hoping for, to be honest," she says.

But Kody defends his lackluster reaction. "I went immediatly to, 'How did they buy this? How can we afford it?' And now I have to go to work because a laptop is all about a job," he says. "I wanted a fun gift."

Seth Meyers knows anchoring Weekend Update on Saturday Night Live will never be the same without Kristen Wiig around to play her various wacky characters.

The head writer opened up about Wiig's emotional last episode -- the Mick Jagger-hosted season finale -- on Thursday morning's episode of Live with Kelly.

Meyers, 38, told Kelly Ripa he was "really sad" about Wiig leaving the comedy series after an "incredible seven years."

"She's one of the best cast members we've ever had," he said.

And that statement was confirmed by the fact that the show gave Wiig what was possibly the most touching send-off in all of Saturday Night Live history. With the help of Jagger and musical guests Arcade Fire, the entire cast (including creator Lorne Michaels) took Wiig for a final twirl while serenading her with "She's a Rainbow."

But if Meyers had it his way, no one would leave the comedy ensemble.

"You spend every second with these people," Meyers explained. "I want everyone to stay forever. It's such a great place to work."

On the other hand, Meyers knows that's just the nature of the show. "People always leave, but new people come in and they're great also," he added. "And that's what keeps the show always turning over."

As for him, it doesn't sound like he has plans to leave any time soon.

"I'll have to leave at some point because everyone does," he said. "But it's the most exciting job I've ever worked."

The road to American Idol victory wasn't just about out-singing his fellow contestants for Phillip Phillips; he also had to overcome serious health issues during the competition. All throughout the season, the American Idol winner battled severe chronic kidney problems that required a total of eight surgeries.

After Phillips' win, his proud father explained just how much his son had to endure in order to make it to the finals.

"He's been doing [well], but it's just grueling hours and it's just amazing what he's done through the journey," said the new Idol's dad, also named Phillip Phillips, at the show's after party. "Eight operations since we started American Idol ... He's hitting 50 percent, but he's still up there swinging away."

"I was so proud I could cry," he said of his son's win. "They've just seen a glimpse of what Phillip can do. We can't wait to get him well and 100 percent and really see how he can perform."

Phillips, 21, suffered from a massive build-up of kidney stones and had the multiple operations to remove them. Before the Idols Live tour begins later this summer, Phillips must have another surgery to reconstruct his kidneys and then spend time recuperating in time for the tour.

"The recovery's probably two to four weeks," said his father. "He's healthy, he's good. His kidneys are good. I can't wait for America and the whole world to see him [after his surgery], because he's a big cut-up. He's going to have some fun."

When Anderson Cooper launched his daytime talk show eight and a half months ago, he knew that many of his interview subjects would be less…dignified types than the ones he questioned on his news show, Anderson Cooper 360. But on Tuesday's episode of Anderson, he was so disgusted by his guest that he actually stopped the interview. Watch the awkward moment here:

 
Sarah Burge (a.k.a. The Human Barbie) is a British cosmetic-surgery proponent who holds the Guinness World Record for having undergone the most plastic surgeries. She's also made headlines for her questionable parenting decisions, like inviting tabloids to print photos of her 8-year-old daughter on a stripper pole. "I let people know that it's good exercise," she said. "And in fact more people should actually try it and perhaps stop stuffing their faces with burgers." In case the child's breasts don't fill out enough by the time she's 18, Burge has given her vouchers to have them enlarged when she hits that age. (Oh, and liposuction, too, if needed.)

At one point, Cooper questioned her decision to allow her 15-year-old to have Botox injections in her forehead. (Among Botox's magical abilities, apparently, is the prevention of a sweaty brow while dancing on stage.) "I would prefer to actually oversee my daughter's Botox than actually have her go underground, find a Voodoo witch doctor or, in fact, getting it off the internet and administering it herself," she said.

Cooper's reply? "I honestly have nothing more to talk to you about. I try to be really polite to all my guests. I think you’re dreadful and I honestly don’t want to talk to you anymore."

"That's fine," sniffed Burge, and walked off the stage. Later in his show, during an on-camera interview backstage, Cooper explained why he had stopped the interview. "I got the feeling this was about publicity for her," he said. "I regret having her on in the first place and I regret how things ended…I certainly don't want to be rude to anybody, and I hope she doesn't feel that I was."

Well, that might be too much to ask. She later tweeted, "Thank you America for your emails yes Anderson did make himself look an ass he has a big mouth for a LITTLE man." 

Any reasonable viewer would recognize that Cooper is the saner person in this fight. But why would he have her on his show in the first place? Did he think he might show her where she'd gone wrong? Of course not.

Here's why: Burge was seeking publicity, and Cooper was seeking ratings. But to his credit, Cooper apparently recognized the unsavory reciprocity of the situation. Too bad he didn't figure it out before the deluded woman walked on his soundstage!

Emily Maynard may be this season's Bachelorette, but it's former Bachelor Brad Womack who is making headlines with his statements about his famous ex.

Earlier this month, Womack, 38, made the harsh comment that he "dodged a bullet" when he and Maynard broke off their engagement. He also added that he had "no interest" in watching his former fiancee decide between her potential partners on the primetime reality show.

But when the 26-year-old single mother appeared on Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday, she kept it classy while responding to his statements.

"I haven't heard from him since filming started... but I don't know," Maynard told hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover. "At first, my feelings were really hurt, because we left everything very civil and I've never said a bad word about him."

The Southern beauty was even willing to give her ex the benefit of the doubt: "But knowing Brad, he didn't mean it that way. That's what I'm going to say."

To Brad's credit, he did have one nice thing to say about Emily during his interview: "All I'll say is she is a helluva woman and I hope it works out."

So far, Maynard has eliminated nine guys from The Bachelorette -- but she still has 16 to choose from on this season of the hit matchmaking series.

The season 11 results show featured some fantastic performances and even a surprise proposal, but in the end it all came down to crowining a new American Idol. Is it the singer-songwriter Phillip Phillips or the pop songstress Jessica Sanchez who claimed the ultimate prize?

Before host Ryan Seacrest made the final announcement, all of the Top 12 contestants returned to sing with each other and such music superstars as Chaka Khan, Neil Diamond, and Reba McEntire.

Rihanna also took the stage as did Idol judges Jennifer Lopez and Steve Tyler, all of whom enjoyed long sets. Phillip sang "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" and "Bad Moon Rising" with Creedence Clearwater Revival's John Fogerty, and Jessica performed "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" with the "original Dreamgirl" Jennifer Holliday. The two finalists also shared a duet of the love song "Up Where We Belong."

After a record-breaking 132 million votes were cast, the winner of American Idol's 11th season is... Phillip Phillips, who hugged a teary Sanchez and then stoically began to sing his new single "Home" while confetti rained down on the stage.

Halfway through the song, Phillips finally got choked up and couldn't continue. Instead, the guitar-slinging American Idol stopped to hug his parents and his fellow contestants.

The real American Idol shocker Wednesday night wasn't the announcement of the winner but the surprise engagement of two former Idol contestants. Ace Young proposed to girlfriend Diana DeGarmo during the live season 11 finale on May 23.

Before Ryan Seacrest crowned Phillip Phillips as this year's winner, the host took a moment to acknowledge many of the Idol alums present in the audience, such as Lauren Alaina and Taylor Hicks.

When Seacrest got to Young and DeGarmo, he said, "We've got our first American Idol couple. Oh how cute. C'mon up here for a second," and he invited the pair up on the stage. "Give it up for Ace and Diana... It's amazing what can happen out of this show."

Setting the stage for the proposal, Seacrest asked about their big news of moving in together, handing Young the microphone. That's when things got interesting.

"This has always been home to us, and I felt this would be the perfect place to ask a simple question," Young said, making DeGarmo immediately nervous and teary-eyed.

"Dim the lights!" Seacrest announced, like he does before making all of his big announcements. As the elimination-night music started to play, Young spoke directly to his love.

"We have conquered Broadway together. We have created our new music together. We have an amazing group of people around us. And with the help of David Webb jewelry I have a way to make this last forever. Are you ready?" he said moments before getting down on one knee.

"I love you to death. You're my best friend. I want to make this last forever and I will do anything in my power to have the most ... amazing life together if you will have me. Diana Nicole DeGarmo, will you marry me?"

After the eloquent proposal, DeGarmo tearfully replied yes and kissed her husband-to-be.

"Congratulations!" Seacrest told the newly engaged duo, who starred in Hair together on Broadway.

"I'm so speechless right now," DeGarmo said looking at her new ring. "Wow, babe, you picked a good one! Thanks everybody, and my makeup's running."

And with that, American Idol's first boyfriend and girlfriend became the show's first engaged couple.

He didn't do it with a big bang, but Jim Parsons has come out as a gay man.

The revelation comes in a new profile in The New York Times that matter-of-factly describes the 39-year-old Big Bang Theory star as "gay and in a 10-year relationship."

Parsons' sexuality is mentioned by way of explaining the two-time Emmy winner's motivation to tackle a role in the recent Broadway revival of Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart, about gay New Yorkers grappling with AIDS in the 1980s.

"The Normal Heart resonated with him on a few levels," Patrick Healy writes in the profile. "Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship, and working with an ensemble again onstage was like nourishment, he said."

And that's pretty much all there is to it. Parsons, who is currently starring in the Broadway comedy Harvey, never directly addresses his sexuality in the piece -- nor does he talk about his private life or divulge the identity of his longtime partner.

Out.com, meanwhile, notes that Parsons "has lived as a gay man in his private life, but in his professional public life he skirted the issue."

Well, Parsons isn't skirting the issue any longer. And that's something his blunt Big Bang alter-ego Sheldon Cooper would certainly appreciate.

Jennifer Lopez is right. American Idol's final two contenders are like a "battle of the opposites." On one side, you have Jessica Sanchez, the pretty teen pop singer with the big voice and the looks of a star. On the other, you have Phillip Phillips, the sexy, gravelly voiced singer-songwriter who's ready to accept Dave Matthews' folksy-rocker baton. It's no wonder that, during Tuesday night's final showdown to become season 11's Idol, J.Lo muttered, "How do you compare?"

That said, the 7,000-member studio audience seemed primed to coronate Phillips. After each of his first two songs, Ben E. King's "Stand By Me," and Billy Joel's "Movin' Out," the applause was deafening. And after his final song -- an original, rootsy ballad called "Home" that producers wrote specifically for him -- even the judges seemed ready to crown him right then and there. 

"I loved the song!" cried a jazzed-up Randy Jackson. "I loved you! I loved the production! I loved the marching band, everything about that was perfect! I loved it!"

When Sanchez belted out beautiful versions of Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" and Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli's "The Prayer," her impressive control over her magnificent voice was on full display. But when she tackled the song written for her, a generic power ballad called "Change Nothing," the 16-year-old appeared to lose some steam. Jackson's response to her song? "It was just OK."

So there's no doubt that Phillips has the edge in what Ryan Seacrest called "one of the tightest finale races in our history." The fact is, though, viewers are choosing between and apple and an orange here. And is that really fair? Sanchez would eat Phillips' lunch in a contest of raw vocal strength. But sometimes you feel like an orange, and sometimes you'd rather eat an apple.

On the other hand, who are we kidding? Both of these singers will be handed record contracts when the show ends. As everyone knows, you don't have to be an Idol to be an idol. Tune in for the final results show Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.

There's a good chance you've probably already seen the video of Will Smith smacking a Ukrainian reporter after the man tried to kiss him, and now you can see Smith telling his side of the tale. When the Men in Black 3 star visited the Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday, Letterman jokingly accused Smith of beating up the journalist. See Smith's response in the video below!
 

"I didn't beat up a guy!" Smith, 43, insisted. "I was in Moscow, we're doing an interview and he says -- you know, he's a reporter -- he says, 'You know, I'm your biggest fan, can I have a hug? Please?' So I go to give this joker a hug, and he leans in to try to kiss me. It's just awkward, Dave."

Smith said that he was later told that the attempted smooch was just part of the Ukrainian reporter's "shtick." "And I said, well that's why his ass got shtuck," Smith explained with a laugh.

The reporter in question, Vitalii Sediuk is indeed notorious for pushing celebrities' buttons. Remember that whole crisis last year when Madonna complained about a gift of hydrangeas at the Venice Film Festival? You guessed it: The same gentleman was responsible.

When Sediuk tried to kiss Smith at the Moscow premiere of Men in Black 3 on Friday, the actor pushed him away, smacked him lightly and ask, "What the hell is your problem, buddy?" Smith then turned to the other journalists present and said, "Hey, sorry, he tried to kiss me on my mouth. He's lucky I didn't sucker punch him." (Watch that video below.)
 

Dancing with the Stars finished with a trio of fabulous final dances before the new winner was revealed Tuesday night. With only one point separating the three remaining contestants -- Donald Driver, Katherine Jenkins and William Levy -- it was anyone's guess who America would crown the season 14 champion.

After the three final couples performed their final dances, all of the eliminated contestants took one last twirl around the ballroom, and singers Kelly Clarkson and Gladys Knight serenaded the audience, hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke Charvet crowned NFL player Donald Driver and his partner Peta Murgatroyd the mirror-ball winners.

"Amazing!" Donald shouted when Bergeron asked him how he felt as he was handed the mirror-ball trophy and congratulated by his family and fellow competitors. But the Green Bay Packers wide receiver's initial response to hearing the good news? He rolled around on the ballroom floor in gleeful shock.

Earlier in the episode, head judge Len Goodman told Driver: "We've had some great footballers on the show over the years," he said. "My feeling is you're the best we've had."

But all three of the final dancing pairs could've won the season after performing such consistently outstanding dances.

"It was an amazing experience," Cuban heartthrob Levy said after being named third place. "I'm going to miss all of you."

As for Welsh singer Jenkins, whom many considered the odds-on favorite to win, was gracious as the runner-up.

"Thank you so much Mark," Katherine told her partner. "It's been an absolute dream."

With such a stellar and steamy season finale, it's time to make way for the all-star season 15 this fall!

Back in March, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino admitted that he was dealing with a very real prescription medication situation. Admirably, the 29-year-old Jersey Shore star recognized he had a problem and checked himself into a rehabilitation facility to receive treatment for what he said was an addiction to painkillers. In a candid new interview with MTV News, The Situation opens up about his addiction, his stint in rehab and his biggest regret. (Watch the video below.)
 

"My addiction was prescription painkillers. At first, I'm sure I thought that it might give me energy. I thought it helped me, because it's a painkiller so you're not tired anymore," he explains. "Then after a while you're like 'Oh maybe this is going to help my schedule out.' I for sure made a mistake by picking a substance over what I previously chose, which was fitness."

As for those rumors that Sorrentino was also grappling with alcohol and cocaine addiction, he insists that there's nothing to them.

"It was strictly painkillers and I never mixed them either, even on Jersey Shore, which obviously people have seen me with a drink in my hand and I was never drunk," he says. The reason? Being impaired, Sorrentino says, would have messed up his A-game with some very fine guidettes. "I was the guy that was the ladies man. You know, you can't get girls if you can't speak to them," he explains. "So drinking was definitely not an issue for me."

What was an issue for The Situation was adjusting to life in a rehabilitation center (he spent three weeks in Utah's Cirque Lodge).

"Your first day [in rehab] is detox. It's not a pleasurable experience at all," he recalls. "In the beginning, for sure, when I was [at the facility] in Utah, I'd wake up and just be extremely disappointed with myself. Like, 'I can't believe I got here. How did I get here?'"

And detox wasn't even the worst part. That honor goes to the emotional roller coaster he experienced as he came out of his painkiller-induced haze. "I'm not gonna lie, it feels like you're not gonna recover," he says. "It feels like an impossible deed... [but] day by day it gets better."

One thing that Sorrentino wants to get better is his once-close relationship with Jersey Shore castmate Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi.

"I would never want to hurt [Snooki's] feelings," he says of the now-pregnant Polizzi. "That girl is very special to me. If I could turn back the clock, which I always say that I have no regrets... [I would apologize for] definitely hurting her feelings... and our friendship."

Monday night's episode introduced the world to Mir Money, a young gentleman whose confidence had the crowd cheering. He even had the judges enamored with his promise to use the prize money to support his family. Sadly, his rapping skills weren't quite up to par, and Stern was the first to buzz Mir Money off.

The youngster shot Stern a hurt look, but kept on rapping. Then Stern's fellow judge Sharon Osbourne hit the buzzer as well, and Money was forced to stop his performance.

"First of all, you're a very nice young man, you know that. No one likes hitting the 'X' on a 7-year-old. You're very brave to get up there at 7 years old," Stern said to Mir Money before the young rapper burst out in tears.

The crowd started booing, and host Nick Cannon came out onto the stage to comfort Mir Money. "That's a mean man right there," he said, as Stern rushed to the stage to "fix everything."

Stern then knelt in front of Mir Money and gave him a hug. "I'm so sorry. You're a terrific young man. You are so brave," Stern, 58, said. "This job is too rough for me, I don't really want to do it anymore."

"I'm going to be honest with you, I don't want to make you cry," Stern continued. "It's funny, I've met many rappers -- I'm on the radio, I interview them -- none of them are quite as good as you."

Mir Money was escorted off the stage, and when Stern was asked to make his final vote, he said he wanted the 7-year-old to stay. But Osbourne and Howie Mandel knew it wasn't the right call, and gave Mir Money the boot. Stern just kept saying how he wasn't cut out for the job of making 7-year-olds cry, but he seemed to have come to terms with it by the end of the episode.

"I hit the buzzer because I have to be fair to everyone," Stern said. "Whoever gets up on that stage runs that risk."

For eight TV seasons, the irascible Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) has probably saved hundreds of lives. And he's probably made almost that many miserable. So what kind of a send-off did the writers of the Emmy-award-winning House M.D. give to their anti-hero in Monday night's series finale? 

Well, an unexpected one. And that's just the way it should be on a show whose fans thrill to its plot twists. Well, that and all the witty dialogue. (Fans have come to love Dr. House's nasty zingers, knowing that these cruel one-liners are funny only because they're directed at someone else.)

Going into the last episode, House was facing six months in jail after violating his parole from last season's pesky criminal conviction. Remember how he drove his car into Dr. Cuddy's (Lisa Edelstein) house? Yeah, good times. But this was a bad time to return to the slammer, because his only friend, Dr. Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) was dying of cancer with a prognosis of only five months to live.

At one point during the finale, House, who has struggled with an addiction to painkillers throughout the series, finds himself in a burning building. Uninterested in fleeing the flames, he has a series of hallucinations involving former colleagues like Dr. Cameron (Jennifer Morrison), Dr. Kutner (Kal Penn), Dr. Volakis (Anne Dudek), Dr. Nolan (Andre Braugher), and his ex-girlfriend Stacy Warner (Sela Ward). Mostly, they discuss his personal character (or lack thereof). When Dr. Cameron calls him a coward he replies, "You're right, but I can change."

But as he attempts to leave, the building blows up, and House is presumed dead. Then, during his funeral, while Dr. Wilson is delivering a eulogy that's appropriate (if not completely kind), he receives a text from House: "SHUT UP YOU IDIOT." Turns out, House has escaped from the back of the building, switched some dental records, and got out of his jail sentence by pretending to be dead.

"I’m dead, Wilson," he tells his friend. "How do you want to spend your last five months?" The final image shows House and Wilson riding motorcycles together. 

"When the cancer starts getting really bad..." Wilson begins, but House cuts him off.

"Cancer's boring," he says. Actually, not with House around.

Lindsay Lohan doesn't want anyone, including a potential costar, derailing her comeback train. According to RadarOnline, Lohan is worried about the potential actors who could play Richard Burton in her Lifetime movie about Elizabeth Taylor.

With all eyes on the much-hyped project (which has already received the thumbs down from Liz Taylor fans such as Rosie O'Donnell), Lohan has to live up to pretty hefty expectations.

"I feel very sorry for her. I think she needs a lot of time away. ... She's had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including SNL.  She was out and not in rehearsal. I think she's not in a place to work," O'Donnell said of Lohan's casting.

Although production is set to start in just a few weeks, RadarOnline reports that the producers have yet to find Lohan a costar she finds worthy to play Richard to her Liz. The short list to play the legendary English thespian includes Gossip Girl star Matthew Settle, Meet the Spartans hunk Sean Maguire and television actor Craig Robert Young -- but none of them apparently has the spark Lohan wants in her onscreen love.

"Lindsay declared that none of the actors were the right fit and that she wanted to go to London to look for a possible Burton actor there," a production insider tells RadarOnline about Lohan's reaction to the three audition tapes.

"Lindsay is being an absolute nightmare about who should play Burton. She believes Matthew Settle is too old to play the role, and she wants a major A-list star to be her costar. However, her salary for the role took up a major portion of the budget, and the Burton gig will likely only pay $200k, max. The producers don't need to get Lindsay's approval of who will play Richard Burton, but they want to keep her happy."

Time's running out, and the producers still haven't found a Burton that Lohan approves of, possibly putting the production in jeopardy of a delayed start date.

"They are already in pre-production and it's very hard to conduct any rehearsals without the pivotal role of Richard Burton," the source says.

Kate Gosselin has no problem admitting that her children would love to be in the spotlight again. The mother of eight, whose TLC show Kate Plus 8 was cancelled last fall, told the Today show on Monday morning that her clan is ready for more reality television.

Apparently twins Cara and Mady, 11, and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel, now 8, are pretty vocal about their desire to get back into the entertainment industry.

"They really honestly miss filming," Gosselin shared. "They've been saying, 'When are we going to go here or there? We miss the crew.'"

But until she has another show greenlit, Gosselin, 37, has been keeping busy. She compiles recipes for a potential cookbook ("I have eight testers at home!" she joked), runs regularly (she finished her first marathon in December) and blogs for the deals site Coupon Cabin.

And as for the kids, they've been busy being regular students.

"Everyone is excelling at school across the board," she told anchor Ann Curry. "We've had a great school year."

Still, they all hope to get back on the air again, Gosselin admits.

"We're hoping to move forward and do more projects," Gosselin explained. "Fans are begging [to see more]. 'They've grown up, they turned eight. What are you doing [now]?'"

After weeks of competition, Dancing with the Stars provided a show-stopping finals week with the last three pairs separated by only one point.

Katherine Jenkins and partner Mark Ballas may have had a couple of less-than-perfect weeks -- but they brought their best to the finals, scoring three 10s for each of their two dances.

After the Welsh classical singer's flawless paso doble, head judge Len Goodman pronounced it "full of tasty tidbits to tickle your taste buds." That translated into the elusive "10 from Len," resulting in Jenkins and Ballas' first 30. Their '20s-themed second dance (the "freestyle" round) also snagged a 30, with Carrie Ann Inaba praising Jenkins for her fabulous season.

"That was a dance of a champion," she said. "You are a champion."

Cuban heartthrob William Levy and partner Cheryl Burke also received a perfect score for their opening routine, a cha-cha as part of the round-one judges' pick. Judge Bruno Tonioli called it an "intoxicating, Cuban cocktail of natural flowing moves," before granting it a 10. The couple's second sexy dance grabbed a near-perfect 29.

Although NFL player Donald Driver and his partner Peta Murgatroyd didn't get a 10 from Goodman in the first round, the second round offered the couple their first perfect score of the season.

"This is by far my favorite dance tonight," said Inaba of Driver's country-themed freestyle dance.

Only one point apart, it's anyone's guess who will take home this season's mirror ball trophy. America voted, and the winning couple will be crowned Tuesday night. So who do you think the winner should be? Chime in below!
