Uh-oh, SpaghettiOs

The latest kids-related recall, Campbell's SpaghettiOs, hits home for me. My nearly 5-year-old loves these and I'd recently started feeling better about giving her the processed food once in a while since the label started to say "8 Essential Vitamins and Minerals" and "A good source of protein!"

But a cooker malfunctioned at one of the company's plants, resulting in some undercooked meat. Certain lots of these three varieties were affected: SpaghettiOs with Meatballs, SpaghettiOs A to Z with Meatballs, and SpaghettiOs Fun Shapes with Meatballs (Cars).

If you have these at home, look for "EST 4K," as well as a use-by date between June 2010 and December 2011 printed on the bottom of the can; you can return them to the store where they were purchased for an exchange or full refund. If you have questions about the recall, call Campbell's Hotline at (866) 495-3774.
