Under the Sink

A unit is installed under the sink (in-line); water is diverted through the filter and up through a spout on the counter with a push lever. Many choose this type of filter for its economy of space and efficiency and its availability in either carbon or reverse osmosis. These may necessitate professional installation (but if you’re handy, you can do it yourself). Because they are hooked up directly to the cold water pipe, flooding can occur if the filter or hose cracks.
