IHOP’s New York Cheesecake Pancakes

Four buttermilk pancakes filled with pieces of New York-style cheesecake, crowned with strawberry and whipped “topping.” With this over-the-top sweet breakfast, risking a cavity is probably the least of your worries. While IHOP doesn’t list the nutritional info for these flapjacks on their Web site (too scary?), the Los Angeles Times reports that they contain 1,270 calories. That’s 70 calories above the daily limit if you are trying to lose 1-2 pounds a week. To keep it healthy, flip to the “IHOP for Me” section of the menu and check out several breakfast options that max out at 600 calories, like the Blueberry Harvest Grain ‘N Nut Combo for Me pancakes. They’ve got 570 calories, 3.5 grams of fat and are topped with sliced bananas and served with a side of scrambled egg substitute.
