I hate speculating on the status of Nick and Jessica's marriage -- it's like a freakin' game of ping-pong -- but Us Weekly's new issue claims the duo has really split. Sources tell the mag that four factors are to blame for the split:
1. Her family: Her creepy dad annoys Nick.
2. Her partying: She's gone from church girl to party girl.
3. The cheating rumors: All kinds of stars claim to have slept with her.
4. Her career: Her career is hot. His is... not.
Sources say that they actually split two months ago. Before when they had problems, her dad basically forced them to reconcile. It won't happen this time. Right now the couple is not speaking at all, and Jessica is said to be devastated. Though no papers have been signed, a reconciliation is "out of the question" and divorce is "only a matter of time."
"They married for love," said a source. "But the love went."
No big surprise -- a spokesperson for Nick and Jessica denies the two have split. The carefully worded statement said: "Nick and Jessica have not separated. Rumors to the contrary are simply not true." However, a spokesman for Us said the magazine stands by its story. And I'm with them, because nine times out of ten, they are right on the money. Plus, Jessica has an exclusive deal with Ok! magazine right now, so if there will be any official news about her marriage, look for it to break there.
