WATCH: U.S. Olympic Swim Team Makes a Splash with "Call Me Maybe"

Talk about teamwork! From Ryan Lochte to Michael Phelps, America's finest swimmers release their own Carly Rae Jepsen-inspired video

When the U.S. Olympic swim team isn't practicing, they'd really like you to call them. Maybe.

Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" has seemingly infiltrated every avenue of our pop culture, with everyone from Justin Bieber to Jimmy Fallon to the Miami Dolphin cheerleaders to Oreos playing along with the summer's hit song. Now our country's star swimmers have gotten in on the fad and have filmed a hilariously adorable video where they all lip-sync to Jepsen's catchy single. Hey guys and girls, shouldn't you be preparing for the Olympics instead of doing this? Watch the adorable video here:

Alyssa Anderson, Kathleen Hersey and Caitlin Leverenz were the brains behind this project, Us Weekly reports. It was that trio that convinced the rest of their teammates to get in on the cover, filming snippets of it everywhere from underwater to autograph signings to plane flights. It must have been a very long flight over to London.

Fan-favorite athletes like Ryan Lochte, Michael Phelps and Missy Franklin joined in on the fun, with swoon-worthy, shirtless Lochte even puckering up for a kiss at the 1-minute mark. There's even a scene with real-life couple freestyler Ricky Berens and breaststroker Rebecca Soni going in for a kiss a la Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez in their famous parody, which you can see at the 2:30 mark of their video -- click here!

Be warned: after reading this post, you'll likely have "Call Me Maybe" stuck in your head for the rest of the day!

The 2012 summer Olympics Opening Ceremony kicks off tonight at 7:30 pm ET on NBC.
