Double Duty: Use Baby Shower Gifts as Dcor

Flowers as centerpieces are beautiful, but they're also expensive and they only last a few days. Our idea: Stock up on affordable, adorable baby shower gifts and let them double as décor. When the fun and games are over, they make great take-home presents for mom guests -- no gift wrap required!

The example above is from a Beach Baby shower I hosted a while back. One of the tables featured this fun Sea Critters Feeding Set as the focal point of the centerpiece.

These gifts don’t have to be expensive! The $10 you might have spent at a party store on a big paper pacifier centerpiece instead could go towards a cute arrangement of baby shampoo, lotion and washcloths tied with colorful ribbon to match the party's theme.

Or, put the $50 you’d easily spend on a fancy flower arrangement toward a cool toy, like Gaby the Elephant Plush ($26). Set an inexpensive, flower-filled bud vase next to Gaby, and you’ve got an adorable, very baby shower-appropriate arrangement for a mere $30!

Another fun (and budget-friendly) decoration idea: Frame stylish baby prints or art cards and display all throughout the party. Wee Gallery makes a fabulous line of black and white art cards for baby that are perfectly frame-sized at 5x7. (See examples of the Wee Gallery Jungle Art Cards in action at a baby shower.)
