Whether you're a fan of Valentine's Day like Jennifer Garner or couldn't care less like Ashton Kutcher, when February rolls around, there's no escaping cupid's holiday. So what better time to give in to the mushy stuff and enjoy a movie all about celebrating love? And if you're still a romance cynic, you can at least appreciate the gorgeous, star-studded cast of the aptly titled Valentine's Day (which hits theaters Friday).
The movie's stars -- including Jessica Alba, Jamie Foxx, Jessica Biel, Anne Hathaway, Topher Grace, Kutcher and Garner -- sat down with iVillage to get in touch with their romantic sides and discuss their opinions on the holiday. "I don't see any reason not to love Valentine's Day," says Garner. "Even if you're not in a relationship, you love someone."
Grace agrees that the day doesn't have to be about romantic love, even admitting that his mom is always his "number one Valentine."
When it comes to the gifts, the ladies of the film agree that it's about more than just flowers. Garner says her best-ever present was a thoughtful love letter. Her worst gift from an ex-boyfriend? "A compass that was not wrapped." And Biel reveals her fantasy gift: "I think it's every girl's dream to be serenaded." (Are you listening, Justin Timberlake?)
