Farewell, Vanessa Minnillo, hello Vanessa Lachey! In celebration of her recent marriage to Nick Lachey, the 31-year-old newlywed has officially changed her name to Lachey.
Considering the track record of celebrity marriages, it's rare for a female star to change her name -- especially for for professional use, but the brand-new Mrs. Lachey already used her married name while hosting the American Music Awards' preshow on Sunday night.
But before her hosting and presenting duties at the annual awards show, Lachey made the grand announcement on her Twitter stream, which is now @VanessaLachey. The reality show host told her 36,000-plus followers to take note of the account's name change.
"So. I'm making it official, and I LOVE my new name! @VanessaLachey has a nice ring to it," she twittered Nov. 18.
Lachey, who announced the last two awards at the AMAs with Lionel Richie, is clearly banking on her marriage, which is already four-months strong, going the distance.
