Okay, Victoria Beckham, we get it -- David is a perfect husband who has no flaws whatsoever. In the November issue of Marie Claire, the former Spice Girl gushes extensively about her marriage and soccer-playing hubby. According to the 36-year-old fashionista, David never takes his luxurious life for granted, never gets bored with marriage, and never even gets bed-head. Here are a few highlights of what she told the magazine about her husband of 11 years:
"I just think he's so perfect that people have to find something wrong with him."
"We were about to go out somewhere the other day, and her was sitting at the end of the bed, and he had no clothes on whatsoever. I was getting out of the shower, and I just stood there looking at him. He was all tan. Has all those tattoos -- which I love. Hadn't done his hair. He just naturally looks good all the time. He never looks like s**t in the morning. Never. So he's sitting there sending his e-mails, all ripped. Not an ounce of fat on him. And I thought, 'You done good, girl.'"
"We are still so close, David and I. We were at a party the other day at my mum's house and I was sitting on his lap. We're very affectionate. And I looked at him and thought after being married for 11 years! We were the only couple who were even near each other at that party. We're soul mates."
Since it's just hitting newstands now, the interview was most likely conducted months ago -- before the recent swirl of rumors about Beckham cheating on his wife with a prostitute. So why does Victoria keeps going on about how flawless he is? It would make sense if they were a brand-new couple, but this is an eleven-year marriage we're talking about. Surely by now, they've had an argument or two, or she's noticed that one of his arms is a little bigger than the other, or something.
Maybe she's just trying to keep the details of their marriage private -- which is absolutely her right. Still, shouting from the rooftops about your completely perfect relationship tends to make people suspicious (see: the current hubbub about Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher). And if their marriage is really that good, maybe they should just stop bragging about it and get a room ... or at least, an elevator (see clip below).
