WATCH! Allison Williams Sings Kanye and 5 Other Actresses Who Have Rap Skills (Or Not)

Inspired by Marnie's awkward attempt to cover Kanye on Girls, we look at other celebrities who have unleashed their inner rappers

On Sunday night's Girls, Allison Williams (who plays social climber Marnie) treated viewers to a one-of-a-kind cover of Kanye West's "Stronger." Instead of rapping, however, Marnie chose to perform it as a ballad -- which left no doubt about her singing skills, but made for a cringe-worthy scene. Watch it below!

Lately, we're seeing a lot of actresses giving hip-hop a try. So how does Williams measure up? Take a look at these 5 videos and judge for yourself!

Amanda Seyfried

The Les Miserables actress performed Tupac and Dr. Dre's song "California Love" during a Christmastime appearance on Ellen. Important: she was wearing a frog costume.

Alison Brie

The Community actress laid down a freestyle rap on a recent Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. She credits her surprising skill to the influence of co-star Donald Glover, a.k.a. rapper Childish Gambino.

Anne Hathaway

Before she succumbed to Oscar madness, Hathaway showed off her playful side by performing a rap she wrote about the paparazzi on Conan. "It's in the style of Lil' Wayne," she explained sheepishly.

Gwyneth Paltrow

The actress became a viral video sensation when she spontaneously performed NWA's "Gangsta Gangsta" from memory on The Graham Norton Show. She later loaned her rap skills to a Chelsea Lately promo (with help on the beat box by Cameron Diaz).

Rachel Bilson

Call Me Doctor with Rachel Bilson from Rachel Bilson
Last January, the actress took on her Hart of Dixie haters with this gangsta rap for Funny or Die. In response to critics saying she doesn''t act like a real doctor, she drops the line: "I'm unbelievable? Check your browser. Haters get two words: Doogie Howser." Burn!
