The Creepy Tale Of 'Flowers In The Attic' Is Back! Will It Top the Original?

The remake of the controversial story will make its Lifetime debut in January

When Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews hit bookstores in 1979, it was greeted with shock and intrigue. How else would people respond to a story of incest, abuse and so much more amongst a family?

When the book was turned into a movie eight years later, the controversial parts were toned down and the film was just overly cheesy, despite the fact that it became a cult classic years later.

Now a new adaptation of the novel will premiere on Lifetime on January 18, and we are finally getting a first look at the cast in this new trailer.

Landing the coveted roles of Cathy and Christopher, the siblings who are kept locked in the attic of their wicked grandmother (Ellen Burstyn) along with their two younger siblings, after their mother (Heather Graham) realizes that she can't receive her inheritance if her dad found out that she has children, are Kiernan Shipka from Mad Men and Mason Dye from Secret Diary of An American Cheerleader.

The new year is definitely going to start out with a bang, and we can't wait.
