We first fell in love with Kate Beckinsale ten years ago when she starred in Brokedown Palace alongside Claire Danes. The two played naïve college girls traveling through Thailand, and they taught us all to be a little more wary in foreign airports. Now Kate's a regular box-office sensation. She hits the big screen again this weekend in her latest action flick Whiteout, which wasn't so easy to make. "I feel like I'd arrive at work and then be beaten almost constantly for 12 or 13 hours, and then I'd go home," she says.
At home, the actress is an involved mom to 10-year-old daughter Lily. The London native says one of the hardest things about raising a young child is keeping up with everything in the entertainment world. (Note to Kate: We're here to help!) "I'm really busy and everything changes so quickly," she says. "I've had to read the whole of Twilight…Otherwise I wouldn't know what she's talking about!"
