VIDEO: Voices from The Women's Conference 2010

Maria Shriver, Victoria Beckham, Dr. Oz and a host of other celebrities and newsmakers on empowering women

Inspiring, moving, extraordinary, life-changing.

Those are just a few of the words I and so many of my iVillage colleagues have been using to describe what it was like to attend The Women's Conference earlier this week in Long Beach, Calif.

When you get so many amazing, inspirational and powerful women in one room (Maria ShriverOprah, Michelle Obama, Diane SawyerRuth Bader Ginsburg [both pictured above], Sandra Day O'Connor), something magical happens. We listen to their stories, learn about their triumphs and tribulations, and leave with renewed confidence and energy about making the most of our lives.

iVillage had the pleasure of interviewing several newsmakers and celebrities -- from event host Shriver to Victoria Beckham -- and we asked how this annual gathering that has grown to become the largest women's conference in the world truly empowers women.

"I know [this conference] inspires women because women come and tell me that they changed their lives afterwards," Shriver told us.

Watch -- and be inspired!
