Even though they've split since their courtship on The Bachelor, the drama between Vienna Girardi and Jake Pavelka carries on. A series of rumors and accusations have come from both sides and now Girardi's ex-boyfriend Brian Lee Smith is claiming she proposed marriage to him just a week before going on the show.
In an interview with RadarOnline.com, Smith claims Girardi "asked to marry me two weeks before she went on the show," adding, "She asked me to put a ring on her finger."
Girardi, 23, and Smith had reportedly been dating on and off for four years before she decided to give The Bachelor a try. "I loved her and I didn't want her to miss out on the opportunity to be on The Bachelor, but I didn't think she would win," Smith said. An unorthodox approach to relationships to say the least, wouldn't you say?
The spurned former beau says he thought Girardi would return to him after her time on the show and also claims he was in contact during her engagement to Pavelka and that they were intimate just 10 days before her break-up with the Bachelor star. "I thought that she would make a little bit of money and have a couple of TV appearances, but she is so manipulative and amazing at what she does -- she won, and I should have known!"
