Over the past year, Viola Davis adopted a baby girl, received an Oscar nomination and won a SAG Award for her role in The Help. But even though her life has been a little hectic, the 47-year-old actress says she and her husband, Julius Tennon, still find time for romance.
"We like to sit in the jacuzzi tub together," she tells iVillage exclusively. "My husband may kill me for that!"
The new mom (who adopted daughter Genesis in October) also told iVillage that her costar Maggie Gyllenhaal gave her some parenting advice while they were filming their new film Won't Back Down (in theaters Sept. 28). "Maggie was always saying to me, 'Viola, you're not going to be the perfect mom. You're not even going to do it beautifully,'" she says. "There was something about that that really released me to embracing my mistakes."
