This Is Your Inspirational Video of the Day

Watch this video the next time you're about to say, "I can't."

Thirty-three-year-old Barney Miller is an Australian surfer. He’s also a quadriplegic. Red Bull posted a video profiling a day in his life as a way to raise awareness about spinal cord injury research. The clip starts with him brushing his teeth and ends with Barney riding waves with his buddies. So far it’s been watched more than 130,000 times on YouTube, and once you push “play” you’ll understand why.

In 1999, Barney broke the C 5/6 vertebrae in his neck after a horrific car accident. He was only 19 years old, and at the time, doctors told Barney that he’d never breath on his own or walk again. Obviously, the tenacious Aussie had plans of his own. After years of intensive physical therapy, he’s breathing just fine, and can even stand with the help of his fiancé, Kate. He was also able to get down on one knee to propose to her last year.

And he’s not done pushing the limits. Barney, who now splits his time between California and Australia, founded an organization called Project Walk to help others with spinal cord injuries. He’s also set the awesome goal to dance at his wedding in 2015. Judging by his surfing skills, we know he’s got the moves!
