A few days after Apple’s new software system, the iOS7, became available, my friend urged me to download it because it was just “so cool.”
Once I did -- an hour later -- I immediately regretted it.
While the aesthetic is more modern, the text messages and keypad lock show up ombre (wasn’t that a 2012 trend?) and the overall system is incredibly slow. My apps are all out of place and most need to be updated -- and the buttons are delayed and overly dramatic when they open. I’m sure Apple will release a fix to solve some of the tardiness -- requiring yet another update -- but in the meantime, I’m regretting giving into FOMO.
I’m not the only disappointed Apple user though -- this toddler isn’t a fan of iOS 7 either. When his dad updated “his” iPad, he threw a tantrum, claiming “everything was different,” and that no, he didn’t want to get used to it.
Me too, kid. Me too.
