Have You Heard the #Selfie Song Currently Ruling Youtube?

Have we finally replaced "What Does the Fox Say?"

#SELFIE is a hot new a video by Drew and Alex, New York-based DJs and music producers, also known as The Chainsmokers. In just under six weeks, their celebration of the selfie has been watched more than 9.3 million times on YouTube – and more than 1 million times since yesterday alone! This techno track hits all the sweet spots for the selfie-obsessed. A dance floor packed with beautiful people having fun, pretty girls gossiping in the bathroom at the club—classic settings for taking a selfie.

It’s no accident that the video has become so popular. On their You Tube page, The Chainsmokers explain, “When we were creating this video we wanted to gather as many #SELFIEs as we could from friends, fans, celebrities and other types that were willing to take part, so we put in a call for action and received thousands of amazing #SELFIES from so many amazing and funny [people].” Some of the celebs you’ll see here include David Hasselhoff, Ian Somerhalde, and Snoop Lion. Naturally, everyone in the video shared it until it was a viral sensation.

The song is available on iTunes, but Drew and Alex want to get you in on the action, too. “Also make sure to make your own #LETMETAKEASELFIE videos and upload them! Just follow the links at the end of the music video or use this link here.
