The Best Whitney Houston Cover You'll Ever Hear Took Place in a Philippine Mall

Friday would have been Whitney's 50th birthday. In her honor, we're revisiting this incredible cover of "I Will Always Love You"

Whitney Houston was, without a doubt, the voice of a generation. Not even the most famous of singers can easily imitate her vocal power. But one girl took the world -- or at least a shopping mall -- by storm when she performed Whitney’s I Will Always Love You on a karaoke machine. Check out her performance below!

The girl’s name is Zendee Rose Tenerefe, and her performance takes place at the SM Megamall in the Philippines. First dubbed the "random girl of SM Megamall" on YouTube, Zendee was quickly identified, and her outstanding performance soon landed her on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. In the week leading up to what would have been Whitney's 50th birthday, we think Zendee's cover is a fitting tribute to her legacy!
