When Susan Boyle took the stage on the UK's "Britain's Got Talent," she had a cheerful and confident demeanor despite the sneers from the audience and the skepticism from the judges. You can tell Simon Cowell (and everyone) was expecting the worst. It's the sad truth. Little did we all know, Susan Boyle would shock the world with her magnificent and powerful voice, singing I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables. She brought viewers to tears, and even Simon had to give Susan the props that she deserved. We love seeing the amazement in Simon's face when Susan started singing. For this small-town girl from Scotland, I think this might be the beginning of her dreams coming true. She may not look like British Vogue's next cover girl and she may have never been kissed, but this girl's definitely got talent. And, that kiss might just be around the corner, now that the world has fallen in love with her.
You wanted to be a singer, Susan Boyle? Well, I think you got it.
Check her out on the Today show.

She is a great example of what can happen if you believe in yourself and never give up on your dreams! -Paula
Goes to show once again, to never judge a book by it's cover. She has a great voice and I hope she wins the competition. -Brun
She is fabulous...but I have to admit I thought it was a man in drag at first because I saw an interview from the shoulders up the first time I saw her not the original performance. -Stephanie
She and Simon would be perfect together. -Sheila
Saw that clip on YouTube yesterday of Susan Boyle. It is awesome!!!! I think we can also reverse the question: why do we assume that attractive people are talented, smart, capable, and kind? -Alyssa
I loved the story about Susan Boyle... the lady gave me "goose bumps" when I heard her sing... her voice was sooo angelic...soooo beautiful! -Mari
This sadly IS a world where people are judged equally by their looks/personality/marketability as much as they are their genuine talent, and the initial reactions of the judges and the crowd here proves that. -StaceyP
I cried all the way through the Susan Boyle clip! I'm so glad she is living her dream. -Charlotte
For whatever reason, I didn't actually expect her to be bad. Maybe I've just seen enough attractive, put-together looking people who can't sing. -Anonymous
